Pranjali Awasthi’s story is the kind that makes you rethink what’s possible, no matter your age. She started coding when most kids are still figuring out multiplication tables, and now, at just 18, she’s already built a Rs 100-crore AI company and is working on her next big project.
Key Highlights:
Pranjali’s tech journey began at age 7, thanks to her dad, who’s a computer engineer. When her family moved from India to Florida, she dove into advanced math and computer science.
By 13, she was already interning at a machine learning lab at Florida International University, getting real-world experience most teens only dream about.
At 16, she launched Delv.AI in Miami. The company helps researchers quickly pull out and summarize information from academic papers and online documents using AI.
Delv.AI didn’t take long to get noticed. Pranjali raised $450,000 from well-known investors, and by late 2023, her startup was valued at Rs 100 crore.
The platform is a hit with researchers, cutting down their workload and saving them hours each week.
Now, as a computer science student at Georgia Tech, Pranjali is building Dash—an AI assistant she describes as “ChatGPT with hands.” Unlike most chatbots that just answer questions, Dash is designed to actually perform tasks for users.
Dash recently topped Product Hunt, and Pranjali is busy building a community around it.
Her journey is proof that you don’t have to wait to make an impact, and she’s showing the world how AI can be more practical and helpful in everyday life.
