India: Siemens Ltd, along with DRA Infracon as a consortium, has won a record ₹41 billion contract to supply advanced signaling and telecommunication systems for the Mumbai–Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail (MAHSR) corridor. Siemens Limited will contribute ₹12.3 billion and will execute it within 54 months.

Owned by National High Speed Rail Corporation Ltd (NHSRCL), the contract is a major milestone in India's first bullet train project stretching 508.17 km between Ahmedabad and Mumbai. Design, manufacturing, supply, installation, integration, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of signaling and train control systems, telecom infrastructure, and operation control center fall under its scope.

The lowest bid among the competitors was made by the DRA–Siemens JV, outbidding the Alstom–L&T consortium with a significantly lower bid. The win is the addition to Siemens' growing portfolio in India's rail modernization plan and further consolidates its position in dictating India's ambitions for high-speed rail.

The MAHSR project is to utilize Digital Shinkansen – Automatic Train Control (DS-ATC) technology, although some tenders speak about ETCS Level 2 also, indicating ongoing deliberations on the final system design.
