BoAt has just launched its new wearable, the Wave Fortune Smartwatch, in India, a new benchmark in affordable contactless payment smartwatches with health capabilities. Here's everything you need to know about the new wearable.

NFC Tap & Pay:
Wave Fortune is the initial product of BoAt to offer contactless payments of ₹5,000, thanks to a partnership with Axis Bank and Mastercard. Customers can scan their Axis Bank debit or credit card through the boAt Crest Pay app and conduct PIN-less transactions from any POS terminal that is NFC-enabled, card details securely tokenised and stored in the watch strap.
 
Vibrant Display:
Equipped with a 1.96-inch HD 240x282 pixels touchscreen display and a brightness of 550 nits to provide clarity regardless of the surroundings. The screen is wake gesture-enabled for instant access.
 
Bluetooth Calling:
Enables Bluetooth calling with a virtual phone dial pad, contact storage, and direct access to the Crest Pay app, so that staying connected on the move is convenient.
 
Customisation:
Includes a DIY Watch Face Studio, where users can personalize their watch face via images or themes.
 
Comprehensive Health Suite:
Monitors heart rate, SpO2, sleep, stress, menstrual cycle, and provides more than 700 pre-set exercise modes, daily activity tracking, and sedentary reminders.
 
Long Battery Life:
Equipped with a 300mAh battery, the smartwatch has a promise of a maximum of 7 days of usage on a single charge and can be fully charged in just 2 hours.
 
Strength:
IP68-rated against water and dust, hence appropriate to all environments.
 
Launch Price & Availability:
Priced at ₹3,299, but with launch offer at ₹2,599. Now they're available in Active Black on the boAt website.
