Tollywood’s rising star Vaanya Aggarwal kicked off the 2025 edition of the National Silk Expo at Sri Sathya Sai Nigamagamam in Srinagar Colony, Hyderabad. Key Highlights:

Vaanya Aggarwal, known for her growing presence in Telugu cinema, inaugurated the expo and praised it as a vital platform for women seeking high-quality, handmade textiles. She emphasized the importance of preserving India’s handloom heritage and supporting local weavers.

The expo is organized by Jagdishwar Hastkala, a group committed to promoting traditional weaving communities. The event features exclusive silk saris, cotton wear, and handloom products—all available directly from the weavers, cutting out middlemen.

Exhibition organizer Jayesh Kumar noted that the primary goal is to create sustainable markets for artisans, especially in regions where such exposure is rare. “We want to connect customers directly with the creators,” he said.

The expo runs daily from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. until July 2, offering visitors a chance to explore regional weaving styles under one roof.

The event also includes live demonstrations, giving attendees a closer look at the craftsmanship behind each piece.

With celebrity support and a strong social mission, the National Silk Expo is more than just a shopping destination—it’s a celebration of India’s rich textile legacy.
