Protecting the Future: India Spearheads UN Initiative for Strategic Trade Controls in Asia-Pacific

India is organizing a historic Capacity Building Programme for UN Security Council Resolution 1540 and Strategic Trade Controls on February 25-27, 2025, for Asian-Pacific nations. This unprecedented meeting, in cooperation with the UN Office for Disarmament Affairs (UNODA), includes 24 government officials from eight regional countries. The workshop, organized in the National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes and Narcotics at Palasamudram, seeks to exchange best practices and experience with implementation. It is a renewed expression of India's commitment to non-proliferation and its leading contribution to the architecture of international non-proliferation.
