Randhir Kapoor Reflects on Marriage, Separation, and Raj Kapoor’s Role

Veteran actor Randhir Kapoor recently shared insights about his marriage to Babita and their eventual separation. He reflected on being a “terrible man who drank and came home late,” which put a strain on their relationship. They tied the knot in 1971 after Raj Kapoor stepped in, encouraging Randhir to make a commitment. Babita chose to leave her acting career to embrace her role as a Kapoor daughter-in-law, following family traditions. However, by 1988, they started living apart due to irreconcilable differences, though they never finalized a divorce. Babita took on the responsibility of raising their daughters, Karisma and Kareena Kapoor, both of whom have become icons in Bollywood. Despite their separation, Randhir acknowledges Babita's exceptional efforts in raising their children.
