Satellite Symphony: HEX20 Orchestrates India's Private Space Revolution

For the first time in the history of Indian space, Technopark-based satellite manufacturing company HEX20 has successfully launched and established contact with 'Nila', India's first private payload hosting satellite. Nila, which took four months to develop, was launched onboard SpaceX Transporter-13 on March 15, 2025, and separated from the launch vehicle a few minutes later. The satellite has been named after Kerala's culturally significant river. Release Actuators as payload from German space company Dcubed is being carried by the satellite. HEX20 personnel received the beacon signal at their Satellite Control Center on March 16, a historic milestone. The launch is a breakthrough in private satellite technology and innovation and is an indication of more daring space exploration in the years to come.
