The Spice of Success: Vietnam's Pepper Sector Ready to Shine

Vietnam's pepper business, so renowned for its "black gold," is in for a strong break-through this year 2025. Amidst world declines in production, Vietnam continues to be the largest producer of peppers globally, and its output comprises 40% of world output. The harvest for 2025, held up by drought, will come to focus during February, March, and April. Increasing U.S. and European demand combined with China's expected rise in imports lends price support to stay high. With export volumes totaling $1.4 billion in 2024, Vietnam's pepper industry is looking forward to future growth and market expansion.
