Tata Motors has finally taken the wraps off the 2026 Tata Tiago facelift interior, and the familiar budget hatchback now looks and feels far more upmarket inside. The refreshed cabin adds bigger screens, more tech, better materials and a smarter layout, clearly targeting young urban buyers who do not want their first car to feel “entry level” from the driver’s seat.

The interior reveal comes ahead of the Tiago and Tiago EV facelift launch later this month, where Tata is expected to position the car as a tech rich, safe and value packed alternative to rivals like the Celerio, WagonR and Grand i10 Nios. With EV interest rising, the Tiago’s cabin upgrade is also meant to make the electric version feel more in line with premium city commuters than a stripped down eco option.

New Dashboard, Screens And Tech

The biggest change is a redesigned dashboard that now integrates a larger touchscreen infotainment system and a new digital or semi digital instrument cluster, likely around 7 inches on higher variants. The free standing style cluster and updated centre console give the Tiago a more modern, layered look. Tata is also adding features such as a wireless charging pad, an improved infotainment interface and, in some variants, a 360 degree camera system more commonly seen in larger cars.

Comfort, Practicality And Safety Boost

Chunkier front seats with integrated headrests and revised cushioning are part of the facelift, aimed at improving long drive comfort. Rear AC vents are expected to make an appearance, a thoughtful touch in a small hatchback that will appeal to families and shared users in hot cities. Safety kit is likely to be stepped up with six airbags on top variants, ESP, hill hold, TPMS, ISOFIX and the new camera suite, positioning the Tiago as one of the safer cars in its price band.

Tiago EV Interior Gets Serious

For the Tiago EV facelift, the upgraded cabin pairs with expected improvements in battery packs, range and charging, helping the electric Tiago feel like a proper city premium hatch rather than just a green alternative. The shared interior language across ICE and EV also makes it easier for buyers to move between the two without feeling they are compromising on comfort or features.
