Trivia Fest 2026, the fourth edition of HELP Society’s flagship youth festival, has concluded successfully in Haflong, Dima Hasao, after three packed days of sports, literary events, cultural performances and community engagement. Powered by Binbag and co powered by Eyewear Gallery, the fest turned schools, sports grounds and the Cultural Institute Hall into a shared platform for students, artists and organisations from across the district.
A Three Day Celebration Of Youth
Organised from 21 to 23 May 2026, Trivia Fest 2026 was designed as a multi venue celebration of “youth talent, excellence and social responsibility” in Haflong. Day 1 featured inter school sports competitions at NL Daulagupu Sports Complex, giving young athletes a chance to compete in multiple disciplines and experience a stadium scale environment. Day 2 shifted the action to Vivekananda Vidyalaya High School for inter school literary competitions, where students participated in debates, quizzes, creative writing and allied events that showcased their intellect, confidence and communication skills.
Culture, Awards And Vision On Day 3
The finale on Day 3 unfolded at the Cultural Institute Hall, where traditional and contemporary performances highlighted the rich cultural diversity of Dima Hasao. The closing programme included the much anticipated prize distribution ceremony for sports and literary winners from the first two days, along with the Trivia Excellence Awards and special Trivia Tributes to sponsors, partners, media and content creators. HELP Society also used the occasion to launch Vision’34 Second Edition, its annual magazine capturing a year of community work, with an emotional Page 18 tribute to Assamese music icon Zubeen Garg.
Sustainability, Health And Community Connect
Trivia Fest 2026 went beyond performances and competitions to embed social responsibility into the festival design. Eyewear Gallery hosted a computerised eye check up camp for attendees, offering accessible eye care within the festival premises. Binbag Recycles led an e waste awareness and collection drive that invited residents to bring their electronic waste for responsible recycling, turning the fest into a visible green action moment for Haflong.
