Uttar Pradesh CM Hands Over ₹1,890 Crore Gas Subsidy Under Ujjwala Yojana

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given a gas subsidy worth ₹1,890 crore to the eligible families of the state under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. The scheme is designed to benefit 1.86 crore families in the state with free refills of cooking gas, especially during festivals such as Holi. The subsidy is one part of a larger initiative to better the lives of beneficiaries and enable them to celebrate festivals without the burden of cost. The Ujjwala Yojana has already reached almost 2 crore people in Uttar Pradesh and is set to expand further. The allocation for this scheme by the state government amounts to ₹3,760 crore, showing its seriousness about increasing food security and welfare for the underprivileged.
