In the first high-profile political accountability move since West Bengal's Assembly election results on May 4, Sujit Bose walked into the ED's CGO Complex office in Salt Lake, Kolkata, accompanied by his lawyer. The central agency is probing large-scale irregularities in municipal recruitment processes, centering attention on whether ineligible candidates were placed in government jobs in exchange for money.
