Wyn-Wyn Situation: India Stays on Top of Wyndham’s Hotel Hitlist

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is interested in keeping India as a prime growth market, with a vision to increase its presence considerably. It currently has 67 hotels in India with nine brands under its umbrella, headed by Ramada as its flagship brand. Wyndham plans to open 20 new hotels in 2025 in the budget and premium economy segments along highways. Wyndham has bolstered its Indian operations and established a new office to promote the growth, expecting a 10-15% per annum growth in the room inventory. The company has posted all-time growth in India, outpacing global markets with over 97% retention of owners. The growth strategy of Wyndham is to introduce new brands like Microtel, opening 40 by the year 2031.
