What The CM’s Order Says

The Chief Minister has reportedly asked officials to ensure that animal sacrifice takes place only within authorised, private or approved premises and never on roads, footpaths or open public spaces. He has also reiterated that namaz should not be offered on streets or main thoroughfares, and that alternative arrangements must be made so that traffic is not blocked and commuters are not inconvenienced.

Administrative And Law And Order Angle

District magistrates and senior police officers have been told to hold peace meetings with religious leaders, community representatives and local bodies to communicate the guidelines well in advance. The focus is on pre empting flashpoints through route planning, identification of open grounds or mosque premises for prayers, and strict instructions against unauthorised slaughter points or encroachments in busy markets and crossings.
