A Half Century of Insight: Celebrating 50 Years of Psychology at Bangalore University

The Department of Psychology of Bangalore University is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a two-day celebration on February 28 and March 1, 2025. The department was started in 1974 with specializations in Clinical and Industrial Psychology. It has since added Child Guidance, Educational Counselling, and Human Resource Management to its offerings. The department has been instrumental in the development of psychological education in India, shifting to a separate building in 2006 and launching several postgraduate courses. This milestone event is likely to unite alumni, faculty, and students to look back at the contributions of the department to the discipline of psychology and its future course.
