Major Graduation Ceremonies: Prestigious institutions like Southern Illinois University Carbondale and Penn State Smeal College of Business will honor nearly 2,000 and over 2,000 graduates, respectively, during ceremonies scheduled for June 9-10. These events will celebrate the achievements of students from diverse backgrounds, ranging from bachelor’s and master’s degrees to doctoral and law degrees. GOAL Scholarships Empower Thousands: In 2025, the Guyana Online Academy of Learning (GOAL) has awarded over 9,000 new scholarships, with a total of $4.4 billion allocated to support Guyanese students at both local and international universities. Since its inception, the GOAL program has granted nearly 30,000 scholarships, with a focus on empowering women and underserved communities. The Georgia GOAL Scholarship Program also continues to make a significant impact, awarding thousands of scholarships to K-12 students, especially those from low-income families.
