Aditi acted as Bibbojaan in the period drama that portrayed the courtesans against the background of India's fight for freedom in the 1940s. Her elegant "gajagamini" walk and dance number Saiyaan Hatto Jao was an internet hit, and everybody thought she would be showered with offers. But Aditi confessed that the expected "shower" of offers never happened. "After Heeramandi, the way everyone talked and talked about it, I thought now it is going to be a bauchaar (shower) of interesting things. And then… nothing. It was actually like a drought," she explained.

Farah Khan playfully hinted that perhaps this dry period could have encouraged Aditi to concentrate on her life, joking, "Tabhi tune shaadi kar li (That's why you got married)!" Aditi giggled and confirmed that she made use of the lull to wed actor Siddharth in September 2024 in a small ceremony with close friends and family members present.

In spite of the career hiatus since Heeramandi, Aditi has just inked a new project—a romantic drama with Avinash Tiwary and Arjun Rampal, helmed by Imtiaz Ali and produced on Netflix. The fans are awaiting hopefully that this signals a new beginning for her career.

Heeramandi, which was launched on Netflix on May 1, 2024, was an ensemble play starring Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Richa Chadha, and others. The show did well in the eyes of the critics for storytelling and visual beauty but seems to have kept waiting for Aditi for more work in Bollywood.
