Air India Express expands wings: new direct flights to 7 cities from Delhi starting October

Air India Express is set to enhance its domestic footprint with the addition of seven new direct routes from Delhi, beginning October 26, 2025. This strategic expansion aims to improve access to key cultural, economic, and tourist hubs across India, reinforcing the airline’s commitment to inclusive and accessible travel.

Key highlights:

- New destinations and launch dates  
  Flights from Delhi to Goa, Imphal, Lucknow, and Port Blair will commence on October 26, followed by Amritsar on October 28, and Jodhpur and Udaipur from November 1

- Flight frequency and timings  
  Most routes will operate daily or multiple times weekly, offering flexible travel options. For example, Delhi–Goa flights run 2x daily plus six weekly, while Delhi–Imphal and Delhi–Port Blair are daily services

- Enhanced regional connectivity  
  The new routes link Delhi with cities known for their heritage, tourism, and economic significance, such as Jodhpur’s forts, Udaipur’s lakes, and Port Blair’s island charm

- Booking and access  
  Tickets are now available via airindiaexpress.com, the mobile app, and major booking platforms. All domestic flights will operate from Terminal 1 (T1) at Delhi’s IGI Airport starting October 26

- Fleet and network scale  
  Air India Express currently operates over 500 daily flights with a fleet of 115 aircraft, connecting 43 domestic and 17 international destinations

- Cultural branding initiative  
  The airline’s “Tales of India” campaign continues to showcase indigenous art forms like Madhubani, Bandhani, and Kalamkari on aircraft liveries, celebrating India’s rich cultural diversity

- Strategic growth vision
