Air India Shifts Staff to Economy Class for Domestic Flights

Air India has announced that all staff, including top management, will travel in economy class for domestic flights starting April 1, 2025. This change aims to prioritize premium seats for paying customers, reflecting the airline's focus on customer-centricity. Since Tata's takeover in 2022, demand for premium seats has more than doubled. Upgrades to business or premium economy will be available only if seats remain unoccupied 50 minutes before departure. This policy will extend to senior pilots from June 1. The move aligns with Air India's efforts to enhance its image and capitalize on the popularity of its premium cabins.
