Aroma of Success: India’s Biotech Sector to Hit $300 Billion Milestone by 2030

Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh announced that India's biotech economy is expected to reach $300 billion by 2030 from $130 billion in 2024. Addressing PBBCON-2025 in Jammu, he pointed to the revolutionary BioE3 policy, which encourages innovation, jobs, and green growth. Singh stressed the Himalayan region's untapped agri-biotech potential and the like of Aroma Mission and floriculture revolution fueling growth. He attributed India's diverse bio-resources and richness in biodiversity as the drivers for this bio-revolution, equating it with the IT boom in the West. With global leadership in vaccine and biomanufacturing, India is likely to take over the biotech industry.
