BCCI Unveils Blockbuster Home Season: Guwahati Joins India’s Test Cricket Map

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a thrilling schedule for Team India's 2025 international home season, with high-stakes battles against West Indies and South Africa across formats. The season holds promise of electrifying cricketing action between October and December, with Guwahati staging its first-ever Test match—a historic first.

India will launch the season with a two-Test series against West Indies. The first Test will be played in Ahmedabad from October 2 to October 6, and the second in Kolkata from October 10 to October 14. The matches will be important for India's World Test Championship campaign.

In November, South Africa will visit India for an all-format series. The first Test will take place in New Delhi from November 14 to November 18, while Guwahati’s Barsapara Cricket Stadium will host its maiden Test match from November 22 to November 26. This marks Guwahati as India’s 30th Test venue.

The action rolls on with three ODIs at Ranchi (November 30), Raipur (December 3), and Vizag (December 6). The season wraps up with a five-match T20I series beginning December 9 in Cuttack and concluding in Ahmedabad on December 19. These matches will read India for their T20 World Cup title defense in early 2026.

The fans can expect a crowded calendar featuring India's cricketing strength on home ground.
