Bengaluru Airport Faces Major Disruptions Due to Aero India 2025

Heavy flight schedule disturbances is foreseen from February 5 to 14, 2025, in Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport (KIA), coinciding with the Aero India 2025 event held at the adjacent Yelahanka Air Force Station. Both runways will be closed for extended periods including six-hour blocks from February 5 to February 8, and extra block closures on February 9, 10, 11, 12, and two block closures on February 13 and 14. The total number of disruptions is estimated at over 743 daily flight movements, and as a result, passengers' trips may be delayed or even cancelled. Airline schedules should be altered; passengers must keep track of their airline for the latest information. The Aero India show exhibits demonstration of military aviation progress and advancements made. At the same time it raises concerns for future venue selection in order to keep the air traffic normal.
