Bengaluru to Chennai in Just 2 Hours? The Future is Here!

The 71-km stretch from Karnataka under the Bengaluru-Chennai Expressway is operating, a huge achievement in the ₹17,930 crore scheme. The highway opened in December 2024 has a capability of running with up to 120 kmph speeds and hosts 1,600 to 2,000 vehicles per day. The expressway, after it is complete in August 2025, will cut traveling time between both cities from 7-8 hours to mere 2-3 hours. Free of toll currently, the Karnataka segment stretches from Hoskote to Bethamangala. The development is a part of the overall Bengaluru-Chennai Economic Corridor, which holds great socio-economic promises for the area.
