AI data centres pack thousands of high-performance servers into confined spaces, demanding intensive cooling that constantly pushes hot air outdoors. Studies tracking global facilities show local land surface temperatures rising by around 2 degrees Celsius on average after such centres begin operations, with extreme spikes of up to 9 degrees Celsius in some zones.
