The session walked students through responsible e waste disposal, safe recycling practices and why sustainable habits matter in a district that is steadily digitising. Participants were encouraged to see old gadgets not as junk but as recoverable resources, connecting personal choices with a greener Haflong.

•⁠  ⁠The heart of Day 2 lay in the inter school literary competitions that drew students from across Dima Hasao district. Young participants showcased their creativity, confidence and intellect across events that tested writing, speaking and broader literary skills, turning classrooms and halls into stages for ideas. Teachers and judges noted the mix of polished performances and raw but promising talent, with the overall atmosphere described as charged yet deeply respectful and sportsmanlike. Throughout the day, learning and healthy competition went hand in hand, as peers cheered each other on despite vying for the same prizes.

•⁠  ⁠With Day 2 wrapped up on a high, organisers have set the spotlight on Day 3 at the Cultural Institute Hall, where Binbag Recycling will also host a dedicated stall from 10:00 AM onwards. Participants and visitors are being invited to bring old or unused e waste items for submission, with on the spot appreciation for those supporting the green push. The final day is expected to combine prize distributions, cultural performances and on ground sustainability engagement, tying together road safety, sports, literature and environmental responsibility into one closing narrative.
