Breathe Easy: Go Digit Unveils Revolutionary AQI Insurance to Shield Delhi-NCR Workers from Pollution's Financial Grip

Go Digit General Insurance Limited has tied up with K.M. Dastur Reinsurance Brokers to launch India's first-ever Air Quality Index (AQI)-based parametric insurance policy. This path-breaking cover is designed to safeguard 6,200 daily wage construction labourers in the Delhi NCR area from loss of income due to construction bans following intense air pollution. The policy will grant up to Rs 6,000 financial support per employee when the daily AQI crosses 400 after two strikes. The claims will automatically be initiated when this limit is crossed twice, with a 25-day gap between the strikes. This parametric insurance product covers the monetary vulnerabilities of Delhi NCR's toxic air pollution-hit construction workers.
