Major Construction Progress

The first U-girder, weighing 170 tons and fabricated at the KMRL casting yard in Kalamassery, was installed on pillars 284 and 285 along the Infopark Expressway.
So far, 65 pillars have been erected near planned stations including Cess, Alinchuvadu, and Vazhakkala, with pier caps placed on 18 pillars.
A total of 1,135 piles have been completed for the metro line and station structures, bolstered by rapid production of girders and pier caps.

Route and Features

The Pink Line spans 11.2 km, connecting 11 stations from JLN Stadium to Infopark.
Unique architectural features include a crossing where the Pink Line runs above the existing Phase I Aluva line near Palarivattom, providing a visual treat and operational efficiency.
Five stations on the first segment up to Padamugal are expected to be operational by June 30, 2026, with the full line targeted for completion by December 31, 2026.
