Key Highlights of the Campaign

APTS chairman Mannava Mohan Krishna stated that the agency continuously monitors IT infrastructure around the clock, issuing proactive alerts against potential cyber threats.
The upcoming awareness sessions will cover fraud tactics employed by cybercriminals, including phishing, identity theft, and online scams, equipping participants with skills to identify and avoid these threats.
The campaign will guide victims on how to lodge complaints and seek timely assistance, thereby strengthening community resilience.
This move follows the successful organization of the Cyber Security Hackathon 2025, where 30 participants completed a six-month internship focused on cyber defense, highlighting emphasis on capacity building in cybersecurity.
APTS also intends to expand its cyber security audit services to private sectors and neighboring states, aiming to enhance cyber readiness regionally and generate substantial revenue.

Strategic Context and Impact

Cybercrime poses an escalating global challenge, and this campaign aligns with Andhra Pradesh’s 2017 Cyber Security Policy and the continuous threat monitoring by the Andhra Pradesh Cyber Security Operational Centre (APCSOC).
By empowering citizens with knowledge and supporting timely action, APTS seeks to reduce cyber fraud damage, safeguard personal and financial data, and build a culture of cyber vigilance.
