Digital Deeds: Haryana’s Paperless Registry Logs 927 Documents in Just 9 Days

Haryana’s digital leap in land registration  
Haryana has officially transitioned to a 100% paperless property registration system, effective November 1, 2025. In just over a week, the state has processed 927 successful registrations out of 2,778 applications, according to Financial Commissioner (Revenue) Sumita Misra. The initiative is part of a broader push toward digital governance and aims to eliminate document forgery, delays, and bureaucratic inefficiencies.

The system allows applicants to submit documents digitally, with a five-day verification window. Appointments are scheduled online, and physical paperwork is no longer required. Despite initial concerns, all registry offices remain fully operational, and the rollout has been smooth.
