Door-To-Door Census Survey Begins As India Enters Its Next Digital Count

India’s Census 2027 fieldwork has started with the first phase of door-to-door House Listing and Housing Census operations across select states, union territories, and parts of Delhi. The exercise is being conducted in a digital format and will capture housing conditions, household amenities, and assets before the population count phase in 2027.
