Driving India’s Energy Future: DVC Commits ₹1,500 Crore for Power Modernization

The Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) has launched a ₹1,500 crore project to modernize its power supply infrastructure across West Bengal and Jharkhand. This initiative aims to transition from traditional distribution systems to advanced, technology-driven networks, enhancing operational efficiency and reducing losses. The project includes features like distribution management systems, GIS mapping, and fiber optic communication systems. DVC has partnered with industry leaders such as Tata Consulting Engineers and Siemens to implement these reforms. The project is expected to be completed within 18 months, significantly improving the reliability and quality of power supply to industrial consumers.
