Eoin Morgan names 'out-and-out' favourites and dark horses to win ICC Champions Trophy

Morgan, who was a former England captain, backed India as the "out-and-out favourites" to win the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Talking at the International Masters League's Captain's Day event, Morgan said India's squad depth and success in ICC tournaments have made them a force to contend with. He also named Pakistan as the dark horse owing to the advantage of having the match at home. "I think the fixture with England vs Australia could be the decider of the tournament," added Morgan. India, of course, are without Jasprit Bumrah, but that balanced squad and the two trophies of the 2023 ODI World Cup and the 2024 T20 World Cup in their recent past make them the team to beat this time around.
