Festive Shutdown: Banks Closed in Select Cities Today for Bengali New Year, Himachal Day & Bohag Bihu

The Reserve Bank of India’s official holiday list confirms that banks in Agartala, Guwahati, Itanagar, Kolkata, and Shimla will not open their doors today, giving employees and customers a chance to join in the regional celebrations.

While physical branches are closed, digital banking, ATMs, and UPI services remain fully operational, ensuring that essential transactions continue without interruption. Customers are advised to plan their in-branch visits accordingly, as services like passbook updates, loan applications, and pension submissions will resume tomorrow.
