Fishermen in India's Unique Floating Village to Receive ID Cards

In a bid to empower the fishing community, the government initiated a Fisherman Card Enrolment Program for residents of Champu Khangpok, India's only natural floating village, located in Loktak Lake, Manipur. This program seeks to integrate approximately 400 fishermen into modern financial frameworks, giving them access to government benefits and resources.
