RBI – Government Securities Switch: The Government of India will conduct a ₹300 billion conversion/switch of government securities on August 17, 2026.
RBI – Interest Rate Directions: RBI invited comments on draft "Reserve Bank of India (Interest Rates on Loans and Advances) Directions, 2026." The proposal allows regulated entities to determine floating-rate loan pricing using internal or external benchmarks, with benchmark resets at intervals not exceeding three months.
RBI – Small Business Lending: The proposed requirement to link small-business loans to an external benchmark will not apply to non-bank lenders.
