Magna Electro Castings Ltd is pushing forward with its capacity growth with the Third Moulding Line Project, currently scheduled to be commissioned by June 2025. The firm has received all the machinery and equipment required for the project, a major milestone towards increasing its production capacity and satisfying increasing demand in domestic as well as export markets.

The Third Moulding Line Project aims to boost Magna's moulding capacity, bolstering its position as a major ductile, grey, and SiMo castings producer for automotive, wind power, and other industries.

Installation and civil work are underway, with the company aiming for commissioning in June 2025, somewhat later than previous estimates of April 2025.

The introduction of newer machinery and equipment guarantees that Magna is well on its way to meeting the project timeline, confirming its dedication to technology upgradation and operational performance.

This expansion comes on the back of a series of modernizations in recent years, such as investments in higher-end CNC machining, 3D sand printing, and automation, all designed to drive product quality and minimize lead times.

Magna's solid financial health and export orientation make it well-placed to take advantage of fresh opportunities as production capacity increases, with over 50% of its revenues already derived from overseas markets.

With the Third Moulding Line Project almost complete, Magna Electro Castings will further consolidate its position as a major supplier in the international casting industry.
