Former AAP Leader Kapil Mishra Sworn in as Delhi's New Law Minister

Kapil Mishra, a 44-year-old BJP leader, was sworn in as Delhi's new Minister of Law and Justice on Thursday. The ceremony, held at Ramlila Maidan, was administered by Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena. Mishra, who will also oversee the Labour Department, was among six cabinet ministers taking oath alongside Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. His political journey began with AAP, winning the Karawal Nagar seat in 2015. However, he left AAP in 2017 after accusing party leaders of corruption. Joining BJP in 2019, Mishra has since become a prominent figure in Delhi politics, known for his controversial statements and aggressive political style.
