Himachal Pradesh's popular tourist destinations received significant snowfall on February 5, with Kothi in Kullu district recording the highest at 33 cm. The winter spectacle has transformed Shimla, Manali, Lahaul-Spiti, and Mandi into pristine white landscapes. The IMD has issued cold wave warnings and predicts dry weather for February 6-7, followed by light precipitation from February 8-11. Several key routes, including the Manali-Rohtang Tunnel passage, remain blocked. While the snowfall brings cheer to tourism stakeholders, it has disrupted daily life with road closures and temperature drops across the region.
