CESC Limited has awarded four Letters of Award (LOAs) for long-term procurement of wind-solar hybrid power, marking a significant step in India’s renewable energy transition. The contracts span 600 MW capacity across four domestic entities, reinforcing the company’s commitment to sustainable power solutions.
CESC Limited, part of the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, disclosed to stock exchanges that the awards were issued under the Ministry of Power’s tariff-based competitive bidding guidelines. The agreements will remain valid for 25 years, ensuring steady renewable energy supply at competitive tariffs.
Strategic Partnerships In Clean Energy
The LOAs have been awarded to Purvah Green Power Private Limited (a CESC subsidiary), Vismaya Renewables India Project Private Limited, Hexa Climate Solutions Private Limited, and Sprng Energy Private Limited. Together, they will supply hybrid power ranging from 100 MW to 300 MW each.
Commercial Terms And Tariffs
The applicable tariffs range between Rs. 3.74 and Rs. 3.75 per kWh, reflecting competitive pricing in the renewable energy sector. Purvah Green Power’s 300 MW project qualifies as a related party transaction but has been executed on an arm’s length basis under competitive bidding norms.
