Unparalleled Financial Support: From 2020–21 to 2024–25, Gujarat provided MSMEs with ₹7,864 crore in terms of capital investment subsidies, interest subventions, and credit guarantee schemes. This strong support has facilitated varied enterprises in the textile, engineering, ceramics, chemical industries, and more.
ZED Certification Leader: The state with the maximum number of ZED-certified MSMEs in India is Gujarat, with more than 89,000 registered and over 59,000 certified. The ZED scheme encourages efficiency, less wastage, and sustainable practices, with units recognized with bronze, silver, or gold status for best practices.
Industrial Diversity: MSME clusters such as Surat (textiles, diamonds), Rajkot (engineering), Morbi (ceramics), and Ahmedabad (garments, machinery) reflect Gujarat's industrial diversity, ranging from micro-units to global suppliers.
Employment and Turnover: The industry is estimated to create a turnover of over ₹3 lakh crore every year and offers direct and indirect employment to more than 1.5 crore individuals, driving Gujarat's economic wheel.
Dispute Resolution and Growth Initiatives: Six regional MSE Facilitation Councils settled more than 1,000 payment disputes during 2024, whereas initiatives such as "Gunvatta Yatra" and "Vibrant Gujarat-Vibrant District" also enhance MSME quality and perceptibility.
