IEX Surges: February Trading Volume Reaches 9,622 MU, Records 9% YoY and 7% MoM Growth

Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) has reported a strong performance for February 2025, with the total traded volume standing at 9,622 million units (MU), an increase of 9% year-on-year. This is also a 7% increase over January 2025's volume of 8,993 MU.

Highlights:

Day-ahead market: 5,821 MU (up 5% YoY)
Real-time market: 2,345 MU (up 15% YoY)
Term-ahead market: 956 MU (up 22% YoY)
Green power trading: 500 MU (up 30% YoY)

IEX CEO Satyanarayan Goel said, "The sustained growth in volumes shows the growing preference for transparent and competitive power procurement. The spurt in green power trading is especially heartening for India's renewable energy aspirations."
