India Awards 11 Flying Schools to Address 30,000 Pilot Deficit
The Airports Authority of India (AAI) awarded 11 new Flying Training Organisation (FTO) slots across regional airports to address India's projected deficit of over 30,000 commercial pilots over the next 15 to 20 years. The initiative will expand domestic flight training capacity, add up to 120 aircraft and advanced simulators, and reduce reliance on expensive foreign flight academies.
