India Charts Nuclear Path to 100 GW by 2047, Eyes Private Sector and Modular Reactors

India’s energy roadmap is undergoing a major shift, with nuclear power emerging as a central pillar in the country’s long-term strategy for clean and reliable electricity. In response to a Parliament query, the government outlined plans to scale nuclear capacity from 8.7 GW to 100 GW by 2047, backed by legislative reforms and private sector participation.
