Indian Navy Receives Sixth Scorpene-Class Submarine, INS Vagsheer

The Indian Navy officially welcomed the sixth and final Scorpene-class submarine, the INS Vagsheer, in its fleet to enhance its maritime capabilities. It was delivered by Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited, equipped with advanced stealth technology, and will be able to execute various missions, including anti-surface and anti-submarine warfare. It is a big milestone in the journey of self-reliance in defense manufacturing, making India stand among the elite submarine-building nations. The commissioning of INS Vagsheer is expected to further enhance the operational preparedness and strategic posture of the Indian Navy in the region.
