India's smartphone exports have surged by 54% in the first 11 months of the financial year 2024-25, crossing a remarkable Rs 1.75 lakh crore. This significant growth is attributed to the government's Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme, which has bolstered domestic manufacturing and exports. Major players like Apple and Samsung have contributed substantially to this increase, with Apple's iPhone exports playing a pivotal role. The PLI scheme has transformed India into a global hub for electronics manufacturing, positioning smartphones as a leading export commodity.
