Indonesia Strengthens Defense with BrahMos Missiles: A Strategic Move Amid Rising Tensions with China

Indonesia is set to enhance its defense capabilities with a $450 million deal to acquire BrahMos supersonic missiles from India, amid rising tensions with China. This landmark agreement, which positions Indonesia as the second ASEAN nation to procure the missile, follows a high-level visit by Indonesian Navy Chief Admiral Muhammad Ali to BrahMos Aerospace. The BrahMos missile, known for its speed and precision, will significantly bolster Indonesia's military strength and deepen bilateral defense ties with India. This move underscores India's growing role in global defense exports.
