Karan Patel Opens Up on Industry Struggles: No TV Offers in Six Years

Karan Patel, who was well-known for his character in "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein," has freely spoken about his failures in the Indian television industry. During his recent podcast appearance, he revealed that he hasn't been approached with a single daily soap role in the past six years. Patel attributes this to the entry of new players who are willing to accept smaller fees and the transition to OTT platforms, citing that these have compromised on quality. He criticized the OTT content, saying that the majority of the shows are "soft porn" without proper storytelling. Despite having tried his hand at producing films, Patel is hopeful that television comes back on, citing the excitement of needing quality content and innovation in entertainment.
