A 30-year-old Beijinger is in the news after using his luxury Mercedes-Maybach S480, which costs around ₹1.8 crore, as a ride-hailing taxi and earning more than ₹46,000 in a day. Identified on social media as "Old Yuan Drives a Maybach for Ride-Hailing," he has gained almost 120,000 fans chronicling his special experience after purchasing the vehicle in late 2024. Starting his day early, Yuan mixes luxury with business, turning heads and defying convention in ride-hailing. The Maybach model is only on offer for ride-hailing in Beijing and Shanghai, so his move is even more exclusive. Yuan's experience demonstrates the new trend of luxury cars being utilized in regular services, combining luxury and practicality.
