Made in India: Lenovo's Bold Leap for 100% PC Manufacturing in India

Global technology leader Lenovo has made ambitious plans to produce 100% of its personal computers in India in the next three years. The company, which is marking 20 years in India, currently produces 30% of its PC sales locally. Lenovo plans to raise this to 50% in the next year and go for full production by 2028. This will also involve the production of AI-PCs. Also, Lenovo will start shipping AI-based servers from its India manufacturing facility from April 1, 2025. In addition, the company is also scaling up its R&D capabilities in India with the launch of a new center in Bangalore to make India an AI Center of Excellence.
