Maha Kumbh 2025 Sets Sanitation Benchmark with 1 Crore Litres of Eco-Cleaners

Prayagraj’s Maha Kumbh is witnessing an unprecedented sanitation drive, deploying 3.5 lakh kg of bleaching powder, 1 crore litres of eco-friendly cleaning solutions, and 41,000 kg malathion to maintain hygiene for over 50 crore devotees. Under CM Yogi Adityanath’s directives, agencies are using Bangalore University’s advanced oxidation technology to eliminate odors in 1.5 lakh toilets. Over 10,000 sanitation workers, equipped with ergonomic tools and insured benefits, manage 650 MT daily waste at Baswar plant. Temporary sewage plants prevent river pollution, while QR codes monitor facilities. The eco-focused approach sets a global standard for mega-events.
